A survey and identification of endophytes in mango leaf were conducted in this study to ascertain the endophyte population and distribution of this mycotic organism in five different sampling sites. The study isolated and identified eleven taxa of foliar endophytes from Mangifera indica Linn, These are: 2 Coelomycetes, 4 Hypomycetes with 3 Aspergillus sp., 1 Curvularia sp. and 5 Mycelia sterilia. Mycelia sterilia from isolate AA11 was found to be common among the five sampling sites while Mycelia sterilia 7 was only isolated from Davao. Mature and senescent leaves of carabao mango were equally populated by the same endophytes. Among the five sampling sites used in the study, Lipa showed the most number of endophytes (9), followed by Cebu (8), and then Silang (6). Davao and Bohol both showed 4 endophytes. The colonization density of leaf samples showed that \/vcelta sterilia 11 is the most predominant for mature and senescent leaves in Silang and Lipa. In Cebu, the dominant endophyte is Aspergillus sp. 2. while in Davao and Bohol it was Aspergillus.
