| dc.description | To Shift or Not to Shift” is a reflective article about a junior student who reaches a difficult crossroads in her academic journey: whether to continue her current course or shift to another path. Despite being close to graduation and receiving recognition as a dean’s lister, she realizes that academic achievement does not necessarily mean that remaining in the same situation is the right choice. Physical exhaustion, irregular eating and sleeping, isolation, and emotional distress gradually affected her well-being, while resentment toward happier peers deepened her struggle. Although she did not have suicidal thoughts, she longed to escape her circumstances and felt emotionally overwhelmed. Through a testimony reminding her that Christ can still use those who have struggled or fallen away, she finds renewed hope and peace. The article emphasizes that seeking change is not always a sign of failure; sometimes, it is an act of recognizing one’s limitations, protecting one’s well-being, and reconnecting with God for guidance and strength. | |
