Abstract
Dr. Jerald Pelayo shared his insights on living a life of significance during the joint divine worship of Nursing and Medicine students at the COM Building on April 21. He emphasized that God deserves our very best and that doing our best is more important than being the best. Drawing from his personal experiences, he encouraged students to support good ideas, consider others, do good to the best of their ability, remain faithful in small things, and surrender their lives to God. A topnotcher in both the 2011 Nursing Licensure Examination and the Physician Licensure Examination, Dr. Pelayo also exemplifies excellence through his work as a musician, writer, speaker, leader, tutor, and Bible study leader. His message reminded students to pursue a meaningful life of service rather than recognition.
