The AUP John Lawrence Detwiler Memorial (JLDM) Library team at the 1st AAFL Seminar-Workshop.
Silang, Cavite — January 15–17, 2024. Librarians from the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) JLDM Library joined fellow colleagues in the 1st Seminar-Workshop on Adventist Librarianship organized by the Association of Adventist Filipino Librarians (AAFL) at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS).
With the theme “Nurturing Faith, Learning, and Community,” the event gathered Adventist librarians from universities, colleges, high schools, and elementary schools across the Philippines to share best practices, strengthen professional skills, and deepen their shared mission of service through faith-based education.
The AUP JLDM Librarians participated actively in the sessions, which included keynote talks, panel discussions, and workshops on library leadership and innovation.
“It was a wonderful opportunity not just to learn but to connect with fellow Adventist librarians across different levels of education,” one JLDM librarian shared.
