The JLDM Library continues to be the lifeblood of academic life at AUP, not just through its vast collection of resources, but through the people who make these resources meaningful.
At the center of its mission are the Academic Librarians, who carry out the library’s core services. From acquisitions and cataloging to circulation, serials, reference, and multimedia, they ensure that knowledge is organized, accessible, and reliable. Assigned to various colleges, they guide students and faculty in research, provide information literacy, and connect the community to a wealth of resources essential for scholarship.
Supporting them are the Library Support Staff, who deliver value-added services that enhance and expand the library experience. Whether managing systems like Turnitin, maintaining technical infrastructure, or ensuring smooth digital operations, they work behind the scenes to keep everything running seamlessly — quietly empowering the academic mission. They also maintain the library’s website and develop web applications, such as the Thesis Repository, which provide the AUP community with convenient access to research materials and digital resources anytime, anywhere.
Meanwhile, the School Librarians are connected to the JLDM Library through a separate line of responsibility. Serving elementary, junior high, and senior high students, they nurture a love for reading and cultivate strong study habits from an early age. While structurally distinct, their work complements the JLDM Library by laying the foundation for lifelong learning and academic growth.
Together, these professionals transform the JLDM Library into more than just a building. It is a vibrant hub of knowledge, support, and discovery—anchored by core services, enriched by value-added contributions, and extended through early learning initiatives across the AUP community.
