Summary Note520 _aObjective: the study was done to describe the condition of accessibility for special care Dentistry. Specialy, it aimed to asses to availability of certain external stuctures or physical facilities necessary for the special care patient to enter/ access the dental clinic, barrier- free. Dental clinics of Sta. Rosa Dental club members were the pilot units of the study. Methods: Utilizing the descriptive method of research, presence and absence of external features, as based on the accessibility Law, wre cheked and assessed. This included the parking areas, walkways, thresholds, ramps, doors, and entrances, and height of switches and controls. Several specific requirments (sub- categories) were assessed to describe the accessibility of each of the aforemantioned facilities. Results: in parking 66.7 percent of the study units were accessible, in walkways 29.2 percent of the studies were accessible, threshold 41.7 percent were accessible, Ramps 0 percent were accesseible, Entrance and doors 38.8 were accessible, and on height of switches and controls 71.9 percent were accessible. Conclution: Results showed that most of the dental clinics of the Sta. Rosa Dental club mambers are not equipped for accessibility in accordance with the Batas Pambansa Blg. 334 (accessibility Law).
