Summary Note520 _aThis study aimed to find out if there was a significant relationship between personality between personality structure and career preference of the fourth year high school students of Philippine Union College Academy and Pasay City Academy batch 95-96. Methodology: The researcher employed the descriptive analytical design in the study, using the standardized psychological test in measuring and gathering the data. The fourth year students of PUC academy were the subjects of the study, the combined group of fourth year student were exposed to the administered psychological test questionnaire and booklets, answer sheets, including the room were the students felt relaxed and comfortable while taking the test. The personality test lasted for 30 minutes and occupational preference inventory lasted for 45 minutes, the two test inventory lasted at i hour and 15 minutes. The researcher was accompanied by the adviser of the fourth year students and the principal of the school, the data scored in the personality test was categorized according to the highest score response of the subject and in the occupational inventory scored in determining the highest number given by the respondents on every field, the total score was summed up every failed, which the highest score indicated preference of the respondents. The data gathered were treated statistically and were analyzed using the chi-square and the degrees of freedom at the .05 level of significance, using the chi-square table it determined the box that contributed most to the significance of the study and it also showed that equivalent structures of personality of the respondents choose the commercial, mechanical, and professional field. Conclusion: Based on the findings of the study, the researcher presented the following conclusions: 1. The personality structure of PUC Academy and Pasay City Academy batch 95-96 is significantly related to their career preference. 2. Parental influence play a significant role in the personality development of their children.
