Summary Note520 _aInnovations and technologies are affecting audiences at large. Given the increasing relevance of community broadcasting in education, this research assessed the campus community of the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP). Studies done within the last decade showed a trend in changes towards the communication profile and information needs of audiences, but little is known about the application of these changes on broadcasting programs. Hence, this descriptive research aimed to provide a basis for a campus community-broadcasting program by determining the communication profile and information needs of 220 purposively sampled AUP campus residents. Data was collected through a self-constructed questionnaire administered to students and workers in the institution. The findings showed that the communication profile of the residents leaned towards the utilization of new media tools and channels. Results collected on the sociodemographic profile, communication profile, and information need of the campus residents provides a basis for a campus community-broadcasting program meeting the objective and the purpose of this study. A study on the effectiveness of the broadcasting program based from this study may be conducted for future research.
