Summary Note520 _aWater has a large impact on a human's daily life but the water today contains some chemicals and one of these is fluride. Community water decay but the problem of excessively high fluoride in some waters is largely unrecognized and neglected. This study was established to verify the fluoride content of groundwater in an area with high fluoride level. Specifically, to determine the fluoride content of water through ion chromatography and to compare the results of fluoride analyses with the standards set by World Health Organization (WHO) and Philippine National Standards (PNS) for drinking water. The specific target area was located in Brgy. Rosal, Cavite City. The collection of water samples was done in 20 faucets from each house and five samples from shallow tube wells at same study area. The samples collected were put in ice chests with tube ice to preserve them. Fluoride analysis was done in Societe Generalede Surveillance (SGS), Makati using Ion chromatography. The results were compared with the recommended premissible fluoride levels of WHO and PNS. Fluoride content of the groundwater in area was verified to be within the safe limits for drinking water. Thus, the results could be a basis for preventive oral health.
