This study investigated the mediating effect of vaccine confidence on COVID-19 infection knowledge and attitude, minimum health standards compliance, and lifestyle practices among 349 purposively sampled employees of seven sectarian higher educational institutions in the Philippines. Using quantitative, descriptive-correlation, comparative, and mediation design, respondents have good knowledge about COVID-19, a positive attitude towards COVID-19 infection, are highly confident about the COVID-19 vaccine, and are highly compliant with minimum health standards. They scored good for vegetable intake, poor for fruit and carbohydrate intake, very poor protein intake, good for sleeping pattern and excellent physical activity. Knowledge of COVID-19 infection is significantly related to vaccine confidence. Attitude toward COVID-19 infection is related to vaccine confidence and minimum health standards compliance. Vaccine confidence is significantly related to minimum health standards compliance. The best predictor of vaccine confidence is attitude toward COVID-19 infection. Vaccine confidence is the only predictor of minimum health standards compliance and nutrition. Under 40 years old were more compliant with minimum health standards and spent more time on physical activity. However, respondents did not differ in nutrition. Respondents under 40 years old did not have difficulty falling asleep and slept an hour more than older ones. There was also a statistically significant difference in the number of hours and frequency spent engaging in physical activity between sex. The relationship between attitude and minimum health standards compliance is partially mediated by vaccine confidence. However, the relationship between knowledge of sleep patterns and minimum health standards compliance and attitude to sleep patterns are fully mediated by vaccine confidence.
