Over the years, there has been a marked increase in the number of fathers who are taking on the role of the primary caregiver for their children often as a result of situations such as divorce, separation, or the passing of the spouse. On the other hand, single-father families encounter difficulties and do not get the acknowledgment they deserve from society and the unique social and emotional circumstances affecting children, including adolescence, within a single-father family are not being adequately addressed in research. With this, the researcher believes that it is crucial to understand and address the specific needs of these adolescents living in a single-father household. Thus, a qualitative study was conducted through this research inquiring about the experiences of adolescents from single-father households, their relationship with their single-father parents, how they cope when facing a problem and their perspective in life having gone through the phenomena. Through snowball sampling, five participants were identified and interviewed. The saturated data were analyzed utilizing thematic analysis and the researcher was able to identify several themes. In terms of results, the experiences of adolescents living in single-father households revealed the following themes: independent responsibility for household chores, feelings of neglect, longing for parental involvement, the substitution of 3 parental roles, experiences of bullying, and being recipients of assistance. While the relationship between adolescent children and their single-father parents showed some instances of indirect negative treatment, they were making headways that led to developing intimate and dependent relationships. Moreover, the participants coped by asking for help, cooperating, praying, and practicing self-regulation. After reflecting on their experiences, adolescents from single-father households were able to perceive the value of togetherness, family-orientedness, contentment, academic pursuit, optimism, self-confidence, obedience, and thoughtfulness.
