The researchers observed that the college of medicine is one of the busiest and difficult programs in a university and there were a lot of medical students who are musically inclined where they started involving in music at an early age until present. Since music has been part of their life. This study aimed to identify the role of music in the medical student's life. There are three questions answered in this study: (a) What is the role of music in a medical student's life? (b)What genre of music do they listen to and why do they listen to such genre of music?; (c)What musical activities are they involved and how do they balance their study time and music involvement? To answer the question, six 6 Adventist University of the Philippines'(AUP) medical students who are musically inclined were purposively selected in this study. The data collected from the interview were recorded and transcribed. The researchers found out that music has a big impact in the medical students' life. Their responses revealed that life as a medical student would be hard without music for being involved in music is one of their ways of releasing stress. Therefore, this study shows how music helps them in their lives as medical students. The researchers recommended that future researchers may further study on this topic using quantitative method on analyzing and collecting the number of medical students that listen to the different genre of music.
