A vast number of studies on burnout and its alarming consequences are available however, burnout and its relationship to other variables and Philippines based studies were quite scare. Anchored from conservation of resources theory, organizational support theory, and social responsibility norm, this study investigated the factors that contribute to an individuals positive work attitude and burnout. The research utilized mediational design and cluster sampling which obtained and burnout. This research utilized mediational design and cluster sampling which 223 respondents. The result showed that altruism mediates the relationship of work attitudes and burnout. Additionally, age and number of year in the profession are all significantly correlated to work attitudes, burnout and altruism. Furthermore, it was also revealed that woman tend to be more susceptible to experiencing burnout than man. However work attitude is no significantly different among gender. It is recommend for health professionals to developed positive work attitude to lessen burnout.
