Literature is the mirror of the society, the heritage of human. It can reflects the social status in different period. This study show the history of China during the China's republican period reflected from the Lao She's novel Rickshaw Boy, by using the new historical literacy theory. It used descriptive analysis design a purposive sampling. The qualitative research design was used to achieve the aims and objectives of this study. The finding showed the Chinese social status under the China's Republican period. It discovers how the element of novel reflect the history. Furthermore, it shows the social issues poverty, war, corruption and prostitution mirrored from the China during the republican period. The overall of the recommendations will help literature students, literature teachers and further researchers gain the sights of awareness and concept of the China's history during the China's republican period.
