The effect of organizational factors on the working behavior of office administrative assistants in Adventist institutions in Luzon /

The study explored the effects of organizational factors on of working behavior of office administrative assistants in selected Seventh day Adventist institutions such Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), Central Luzon Conference (CLC), South Central Luzon Conference (SCLC), Manila Adventist Medical Center (MAMC), North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC), Adventist International Institute of Advanced studies (AIIAS), and Southern Asia - Pacific Division (SSD). A quantitative research study using the descriptive correlation design was done in targeting 84 respondents were 73 (87%) administrative assistants from different Adventist institutions participated. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and regression analysis. The descriptive statistic analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and regration analysis.The descriptive statistics finding showed that the professional behavior was perceived by respondents to be very high. The respondent perceived the level of ethical behavior as high. The respondents rates benefits, compensation, and workplace condition were perceived as very good and working relationship as very good. The comparison of the problem in professional and ethical behavior were groped according to age, salary , employment status length of service, and educational attainment. The result of the stud showed that there is no significant difference on the problems encountered in the category of professional behavior of the respondents ages 20-25 salary of up to 20,000, employment status of regular of status of regular and non- regular employees and professional behavior of educational attainment while there is significant difference encountered in the category of ethical behavior of respondents ages 20-25, salary of up to 20,000 employment status and between 1-4 years length of service. The respondent perceive that is a significant difference in the problem encountered in the category of professional behavior behavior between 1 to 4 year length of service and there is no significant difference in the problem encountered in the category of ethical behavior ages 20-25, between the educational attainment of the respondents. Correlation results on working behavior and the organizational factors. Professional behavior has person correlation of .185,.007 and .186 respectively with benefit and compensation, workplace condition and supervisor working relationship. The correlation are most not significant except ethical behavior benefit and compensation.The results implies that the professional behavior of the administrative assistants has no significant relationship in terms of benefits and compensation, whether benefits and compensation they can get from the institutions, and whatever the working condition they have in the workplace, they remains perform better showing their professional behavior in the workplace.
