Objectives: To compare the standards or infection control in the towns of Sta Rosa & Biñan Dental laboratory policies as well as practices of dental technicians. Methods: This study is descriptive cross - sectional study on the infection control practices of the dental laboratories of Biñan Sta. Rosa & San Pedro Lacuna. Laboratories were Purposively selected by in information about their existence and accessibility however final selection of laboratories was finally based of the formation granted by owners. Dental technician from the laboratories were also interviewed. all dental technicians present during the time observation were interviewed. Results Three of the five dental laboratories were found not to have any guidelines for infection control while most (60%) dental technicians do not wear any form of personal protective equipment. The nail of dental technicians have manicure on their nails. Only 42.3 % of all dental Technician reported that they have been vaccinated for hepatitis B more than of the dental technician reported that they were not vaccinated (57.69%) for hepatitis B. Conclusion: This study shows that while dental laboratories in Sta Rosa, San Pedro and Biñan Laguna observe and practices some form of infection control. That the practice is not consistent and does not cover the full range of infection control practices recommended by the center of disease control for laboratories.
